Bernadette and Jen

Bernadette (born Bernadette Lazzara on 28 February 1948) Peters is an American artist, musician and writer of books for children from Ozone Park Queens New York. She has had a long career that spanned 5 decades. She has performed in shows, made solo recordings and appeared on television. She's among the most critically acclaimed Broadway artists, receiving nominations in seven Tony Awards, winning two and eight Drama Desk Awards winning three. The four Broadway casting albums in which she's performed were awarded Grammy Awards. Peters was first on stage when she was a child, and then when she was a teenager, in the 1960s. Later in the 70s, she began acting in films and television. Alongside her roles in The Muppet Show, The Carol Burnett Show, and in other TV work she was also praised for the roles she had played in Annie and Silent Movie. The 1980s saw her return to the stage was a major factor in her becoming one of the Broadway's most famous performers for more than three decades. Peters has released a number of singles as well as several casts albums and performs regularly in solo concert acts. Peters is performed in movies and TV, where she won a Golden Globe and was nominated for 3 Emmy Awards.
